Safety instructions and rules of conduct
1. Trails are not prepared and there is no safeguard against accidents. You use the trails at your own risk.
2. Parents are responsible for their children.
3. The wearing of crash helmets is compulsory throughout the park. We strongly recommend fullface-helmets.
4. We recommend wearing safety gear (protectors, gloves etc.).
5. Go slowly in places that are difficult to assess.
6. Keep safe distances. The front biker as well as the inexperienced on have priority at all times and must not be coerced.
7. Stopping on the trail ist prohibited (except for training courses of the biking classes).
8. It is compulsory to inspect the track before use.
9. Inexperienced bikers take note: in many places you can avoid obstacles on the trail by using so called „Chickenways“.
10. Compulsory gear for iXS downhill, fun ride and northshore trail: Fullface-helmet and complete protectors, back protector, chest protector, knee and elbow protection, gloves.
11. Specially for the north shore trail: Warning! The north shore trail is a training trail for skilled bikers with lots of experience only. There is the danger of sudden falls at the obstacles. Parts can come off or break. Therefore be absolutely sure to inspect each obstacle and test its stability before you start. If you are not sure, don’t go under any circumstances. You go at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for the safe state of the obstacles. The trail is closed in wet weather – mortal danger!
12. The trails have different levels of difficulty: blue = easy, red = average, black = difficult. For all the trails good biking skills in alpine terrain is basic requirement. Ecery biker should use only such trails as are in keeping with his individual demand an skills. 13. The signs and markings put up along the different trails must strictly be observed in order to avoid accidents. Make allowances for hikers, pedestrians and forestry vehicles that you may encounter in the park.
14. Because of the large number of biking courses given by our „Bikeschule“, sectors of the trail may occasionally be closed for training purposes at short notice. Please look out for notices. Thank you for your understanding.
15. The car park for the bikepark Winterberg ist exclusively the large car park (Großraumparkplatz Bremberg) on the far side of the Bundesstraße 480 (as ordered by the authorities).
16. Instructions and orders by the lift- and bikepark staff must be followed unconditionally; otherwise the ticket for the lift will be collected or it may even result in the expulsion from the site owner’s right of property to forbid entrance).
