General information about Bikepark Winterberg
The address of the bike park is Kapperundweg 3, 59955 Winterberg. The free large-area parking lot P3 is located directly on the opposite side of the street at the Kletterwald. From here you can get directly to Bikepark Winterberg in just a few moments.

If it should rain, the Bikepark is still open. Nevertheless, there may be restrictions in operation. Please have a look at our route overview, which provides you with real-time information from Bikepark - even faster than on the phone!
The answer is as simple as it is difficult: a bike suitable for Bikepark. That means in any case a Mountainbike (MTB)! We recommend the right bikes for each route via the route views.
Very important: Our routes can only be used with mountain bikes and not with scooters or other means of transport!
That is no problem. In our COMMENCAL Beginner & Kids Parcours even the little ones can gain their first biking experience before they move on to the other routes! As is often the case, please don't overestimate yourselves/your kids and approach new routes slowly.
In principle, yes. Young people can also use Bikepark on their own. Minors only need a power of attorney from a parent or guardian to rent a bike and protective equipment.
Important: No matter what age you are, don't overestimate yourself and test yourself slowly on new courses and obstacles.
Even in the event of rain, Bikepark is open as long as safe operation is still possible. However, due to wet conditions, some routes and sections may have to be closed. You can get a current overview at any time in the route overview.
In the event of thunderstorms and storms, operation of the Bikepark will be suspended for safety reasons.
We have rental bikes ready for you at our bike station. You can use them to heat up over the trails at Bikepark Winterberg . You urgently need to book these in advance - here!
Everyone who doesn't have his own equipment yet or who wants to chase down the tracks with another brand bike is well served in our rental.
We are also a member of the Gravity Card Bikeparks. So you can shred with your Gravity Card at Bikepark without any problems. If you don't have a Gravity Card yet, you can of course buy one from us.
Yes, that works! In addition to cash, we accept all major debit and credit cards (except American Express).

For a quick meal in between, our biker snack bar is located directly at the bike station. Here you can get the classic curry sausage, chips and mayo. If you prefer to take it a little easier, you can take a seat in the Panorama Café - Restaurant. Located in the middle of Bikepark and at Erlebnisberg Kappe , bikers are also very welcome here. A wide selection of dishes is freshly prepared for you. At the valley station of the large chairlift you will also find the food truck, which will also provide you with the best food! You can also find more information here.
If you prefer to bring your own food, that's no problem at all.
Toilets can be found directly behind the bike station. There are also toilets at the summer toboggan run and at the Panorama Erlebnis Brücke. There are also toilets at the large car park P3, where we recommend you to park.
You will also find them marked on the overview map.
Questions about the use of the bike park and services
In the entire Bikepark Fullface -helmet obligation applies! We recommend to always wear the complete protective equipment (Fullface-helmet, safety jacket and knee/shin guards). This is even compulsory on some routes!
Of course you can! We have a special training course for beginners, where you can easily get to grips with the sport of biking.
You already have biking experience? Then you can also ride our diverse routes. Here, too, we offer a wide program for beginners as well as for advanced bikers.
Please note: Biking, as it is practiced here at Bikepark Winterberg , is an extreme sport that also involves the risk of injury!
The general rule for all skill levels is not to overestimate yourself and to approach new routes and obstacles slowly.
Of course, this depends on your individual skills. Here you will find an overview with all route information at a glance. There will also be information signs at each route! For your own safety: Approach the routes slowly if you feel unsafe!
In the best case you inform our staff as soon as possible, so that we can fix the error. Either directly on site in the bike station or at the lift. You can also reach us by phone on +49 (0)2981-9199909.
High-quality spare parts from SRAM are available at the Bikestation. Just contact our guys in the workshop.
If you can't repair the damage to your bike yourself, just ask our guys in the workshop for help. We can repair and maintain everything behind the SRAM brand.
ATTENTION: An acceptance for repairs of private bikes is only possible until 16:00!
Questions about the bike rental
Of course! You should even do that here, otherwise we can't give out any bikes!
Please check your bike for defects directly upon collection. You can also take out bike insurance during the rental process. You can find more information here.
If you notice any damage or have any problems on the way, please come to us at the bike station immediately. Without insurance, you will have to pay for any damage yourself.

Questions about the bike school and courses
To make sure that you will have a bike at your disposal during the course, you should reserve your rental bike before booking the course. Before booking the course, check the availability on your desired date and make sure that the rental equipment is reserved for the day of the course.
No, you should already have safely driven simple flow trails. A stable driving position and block free braking should no longer be an issue.
Depending on the course level, the requirements increase. Take a look at the different course levels.

In each of our courses we adjust the course level to the respective course level. Please have a look at the FAQ in the respective course. In each course the routes are specified.
In our park there is a Fullface - full face helmet mandatory. Without such a helmet is not allowed to ride in Bikepark Winterberg . In addition to the Fullface-helmet it certainly makes sense to wear knee or knee-shin protectors. To be completely safe, a protector jacket then makes the round.
If you do not have a suitable Mountainbike or appropriate protective equipment, you can book and rent this here with us in addition to the course.
In addition, we recommend that each participant bring their own cycling gloves. Otherwise, gloves are also available for purchase in our bike station.
All our courses build on each other. When making your decision, you should be sure to internalize the course content from the lower course level. If there are still stumbling blocks in this content, we recommend that you take the lower course level to start. All our trainers will support you individually, so that no one is underchallenged.
Yes, a day ticket for our Bikepark Winterberg is included in the course price.
As a rule, our courses always take place with a minimum of 3 participants.
In order to give maximum attention to everyone, we limit our courses to a maximum of 7 participants.
Rain or cold are usually no reason for us to cancel the courses. Should the weather bring snow or storm and thus pose a danger to you, we decide spontaneously and depending on the weather whether the courses can take place. If we have to cancel the course, the participants will receive a voucher and can flexibly look for a new date.
Yes, for children under 10 we offer our Bikepark Minis courses.
For children up to 14 years, we offer our children's beginner and advanced courses.
From 15 years, the courses are for teenagers and adults.
Courses that parents and children under 14 want to do together can of course be done in a private course with us.
Yes! At Bikepark Winterberg you have to wear a Fullface helmet. If you do not have a Fullface helmet, you can book and rent it here in addition to the course.
No, unfortunately not. We ask you to take out accident insurance yourself.
Yes, about 30 minutes break are planned for each of our courses. The easiest way is to bring your own packed lunch. Depending on the situation, you can also go to the snack bar downstairs at the bike store and buy a warm snack there.
In each of our courses we have of course a guideline depending on the course level and corresponding topics. Of course, we try to consider your wishes and goals in the courses.
The pedals on which you feel most comfortable are best suited. If you ride platform pedals, make sure you have enough grip on the pedals. If you feel more comfortable on clipless pedals, that's fine too. However, you will learn a cleaner technique on platform pedals.
If you are new to the Mountainbike sector, you can participate in your sports clothes without any problems. The important thing is that the clothes are not too loose, but not necessarily skin-tight either. If you already own Mountainbike clothing, you certainly know best in what you feel comfortable! 😉
At Bikepark Winterberg we are actually quite well equipped in the bike store to help out well in case of breakdowns.
Sure, but it is not bad to have a spare tube and a multitool always in the backpack to be quickly ready for use again.
In our Hostel not far from Bikepark we have a place to stay with bikewash and within 2min from Bikepark .
For all bikers there is a 10% discount on tickets (except season and ride tickets) and rental equipment. You just need to bring a proof from Hostel and you will get the discount at the bike station.
